How we started our Adventure ...

About Bailey and the Family


Gloucestershire Campervan Hire is a family run business, aimed to share our passion for exploring and the great outdoors! Based just off Junction 12 of the M5, our campervan is in the perfect location to pick up on route to the South West and Wales (or up North!).
 

It all started with an exciting trip to Australia, where we hired a campervan to travel up the East Coast of the country. The flexibility of having our transport and accommodation all in one had us hooked. The basic hire vehicle became a cosy home away from home and was the perfect base to explore the mountains, forests, national parks, countryside and amazing beaches that Australia had to offer.
 

Having had the best time exploring down under, we came to realise we’ve never even explored all that our own country has to offer. The idea of having a campervan at home to go away spontaneously and easily at weekends was very exciting. Step in – Bailey!....a VW campervan with a brand new interior in 2020, impeccably designed with comfort and functionality in mind. We are certain she will provide you with the most memorable holiday.
 

Please do get in touch with any queries you may have. Upon booking should you require any advice on the destinations/route of your trip then we would be delighted to assist with your plans. When you come to collect Bailey, please ensure you leave an hour aside for a member of the family to show you around and give you everything you need. You will then be good to go – and Bailey will provide you with the ultimate road trip! If you need any assistance whilst on the road, then we are just a phone call away.

Camper Facilities:
 

  • Two double beds (lower & upper) taking seconds to pull out

  • Gas stove with 2 burners (gas included)

  • Solar panel to keep the power topped up

  • Pull out side awning sun/rain cover

  • Sink with tap and large freshwater tank

  • Fridge with small freezer (runs from the battery)

  • Multiple cabinets for plenty of storage

  • Indoor table to enjoy your meals or to play games

  • Front double seat swivels to face into the camper

  • LED interior lights & reading lights (runs from the battery)

  • USB connections for device charging (runs from the battery)

  • 240v mains hook-up power connection (plug in at campsites)

  • Blackout curtains on the windows

  • Kitchen equipment, tea & coffee are provided

  • Stereo with Bluetooth & aux cable with front and rear speakers (runs from the battery)
     

Safety: Fire extinguisher, Fire Blanket, Carbon monoxide alarm, Smoke alarm,
Current gas & electric safety certificates. 

Anything running from the battery will always have power even without 240v hook-up.

  • Cooking utensils: Chopping knives, veg peeler, tin opener, scissors, wooden spoon, tongs, bottle opener, corkscrew, cheese grater

  • Cutlery: Dining plates / side plates /bowls, cutlery set, serving spoon, beakers, mugs, wine glasses

  • Cookware: Frying pans, kettle, saucepans, colander, large bowl, chopping board, measuring jug, cafetiere coffee maker

  • Washing & Cleaning Pack: Washing up liquid, washing up bowl, tea towel, dishwashing sponge, dustpan & brush

INTERIOR & EXTERIOR:
 

  • Music & Navigation: DAB Radio / CD player/ Sat Nav / Bluetooth, Aux input & cable, Front & rear speakers

  • Features: Electric front windows, Manually operated pop up roof, Privacy glass, Blackout curtains, Dual passenger swivel seats, Fold out table, Various storage/compartments

  • Power: The electrics are powered by a 12 volt battery system such as the USB sockets, Fridge/Freezer, Main lights, Reading lights & Night lights. Our campervan uses a split charge unit, so it charges whilst driving or when hooked up to mains power.
    The mains power sockets (240V) will only work when hooked up to the campsite power. (Safety Certified)

  • Gas: We include enough gas for your trip, and the gas bottle is stored inside a locker for safety. (LPG Gas Safety Certified)​

  • Water: We provide a 25L fresh water container full on collection. This is easily removable to refill. 

  • Safety & First Aid: First aid kit, fire extinguisher, fire blanket, carbon monoxide alarm & smoke alarm

  • Heater: There is a powerful heater built into the underside of the campervan (which runs from the diesel from the main tank and 12v battery system)

  • Outside awning: Pull out side awning sun/rain cover

Extras available for hire: 
Prices based on your complete hire period up to 7 days
 

Driveaway Awning:  (£55) Providing additional living space & sleeps two. Quick release function making it easy to drive away & reattach upon return 
Bike Rack:  (£25) Carries 2 full size adult bikes
Portable Toilet: (£32) Chemical toilet with chemicals & popup loo tent (Fee of £100 will be charged if the toilet is not clean & empty upon return)
BBQ:  (£18) Portable Gas BBQ / Grill. Includes : 1 x Bottle of gas (3 hrs of usage) extra gas bottle £7 each
Outside Table: (£4) Quick popup table to enjoy meals outside
Outdoor chairs: (£4 Each) Foldable chairs to enjoy the outdoors
Bath Towels: (£2 Each) Towel
Additional drivers: (£32) One diver is included in the hire
Dogs: (£25) Well behaved dogs are welcome
